6. Commercial Cleaning

Contract typeTarget rate
High-volume / simple recurring£25-£26 per cleaner-hour
Standard commercial£27-£28 per cleaner-hour
Demanding / specialist / awkward hours£30+ per cleaner-hour

Monthly recurring revenue formula: hours per visit × visits per week × 4.33 × selling rate. Price initial/deep cleans separately. Factor products and equipment into the contract rather than silently absorbing them.

7. Carpet & Upholstery

Default target customer price = subcontractor cost ÷ 0.75, then round to a sensible retail figure. This produces a 25% gross margin. On standalone specialist jobs, aim for at least £25-£30 gross profit. Combined packages may be adjusted when the overall job margin remains healthy.
